In the following discussion, Petr Gajdušek stressed the importance of open markets and predictable business environment. For the Czech Republic, an export-oriented economy, the well-functioning rules-based multilateral trading system is vitally important. Petr Gajdušek expressed his support to the WTO in this sense and enquired DG Azevêdo about his expectations for the 12^th WTO Ministerial Conference in Nur-Sultan in June 2020. The discussions also touched upon the representation of the Czech Republic in the WTO Secretariat and on the recent successful project of renovation of the historic chandeliers in the WTO library.
