Czech Ambassador Petr Gajdušek presented his credentials at the WTO

Petr Gajdušek, the new Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations Office and the other international organizations in Geneva presented his credentials to Roberto Azevêdo, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), on 11 October 2019.
In the following discussion, Petr Gajdušek stressed the importance of open markets and predictable business environment. For the Czech Republic, an export-oriented economy, the well-functioning rules-based multilateral trading system is vitally important. Petr Gajdušek expressed his support to the WTO in this sense and enquired DG Azevêdo about his expectations for the 12th WTO Ministerial Conference in Nur-Sultan in June 2020. The discussions also touched upon the representation of the Czech Republic in the WTO Secretariat and on the recent successful project of renovation of the historic chandeliers in the WTO library.
