Chairperson of PC CTBTO Ambassador Ivo Šrámek finished his term

Chairperson of Preparatory Commission (PC) CTBTO Ambassador Ivo Šrámek finished his term on 31 December 2021. He is honoured to serve as the Chairperson of the Preparatory Commission on behalf of the Eastern European group (EEG) and his homecountry, the Czech Republic, during the year 2021. Ambassador Šrámek will continue to take a part at the PC CTBTO´s leadership also during the year 2022 as an elected Vice-Chairperson on behalf of the EEG. 

Ambassador is greatful for the kind support, guidance, and cooperation of all States Signatories. He would like to also express his gratitude to both Executive Secretaries, Dr. Lassina Zerbo and Dr. Robert Floyd, for an excellent cooperation, and to Provisional Technical Secretariat for its tireless support. From Ambassador´s perception, it was very interesting, sometimes challenging, but certainly very rewarding year as we all together wrote another significant chapter of the CTBTO history.

Ambassador Šrámek warmly congratulates to Ambassador Darío Ernesto Chirú Ochoa, Permanent Representative of Panama, who has been elected as Chairperson for 2022 and wish him and his team all the best!
