A fond farewell from the Chairperson of the Preparatory Commission of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) Ambassador Ivo Šrámek to Executive Secretary of the CTBTO Dr. Lassina Zerbo! 

After his remarkable 17 years’ service with the CTBTO, first as Director of the International Data Center and then last 8 years as Executive Secretary, Dr. Zerbo begins from 1 August 2021 a new life chapter. The governing Preparatory Commission has conferred at the last session on 21 June the title of Executive Secretary Emeritus on Dr. Zerbo in recognition of his service and contribution to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty and to the work during eight years at the helm of the organization.

The Chairperson is honored to be able to closely cooperate with Executive Secretary Dr. Lassina Zerbo and whishes him all the best in his next endeavors. Burkina Faso and the African group can be profoundly proud of Dr. Zerbo´s achievements and an excellent representation of his country and the whole continent. Un grand merci et au revoir, Dr. Zerbo!
