Joint reception on the occasion of the Czech National Day

Joint reception on the occasion of the Czech National Day was held on 24 October 2019 in the premises of the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the UN, OSCE and other International Organizations in Vienna / Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vienna. At the same time, the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution and the 20th anniversary of the Czech Republic’s accession to NATO were commemorated.

Ambassador Šrámek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the UN, OSCE and other International Organizations in Vienna, emphasized in his speech the significance of freedom, democracy, peace and justice. He described these principles as relevant both in the times of Czechoslovakia’s establishment as well as nowadays. Moreover, he confirmed the long-term CZ support for multilateralism and diplomacy – elements that remain to be key to ensuring lasting peace.
