Ambassador Šrámek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the UN, OSCE and other International Organizations in Vienna, appreciated in his speech the possibility to welcome the guests in person after a two-year break caused by the covid-19 pandemic. He thanked them for their co-operation and support – among other things during the recent elections to the Board of
Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Furthermore, he emphasized in his speech the significance of freedom, democracy, peace and justice. He described these principles as relevant both in the times of Czechoslovakia’s establishment as well as nowadays. He also confirmed the Czech Republic’s long-term support for multilateralism.
