Meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Cooperation under CZ Chairmanship on 23 October Devoted to Vienna Document Implementation and Modernisation

On Wednesday 23 October, a meeting of the Forum for Security Cooperation (FSC) under CZ Chairmanship addressed the issue of Implementation and Modernisation of the Vienna Document – a crucial element of the OSCE pol – mil acquis of undiminished, and even growing relevance for building trust and confidence, increase military transparency and predictability, and risk reduction/incident prevention.
Panelists from the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Sweden have addressed the FSC audience. The current FSC Chair Ambassador Šrámek welcomed that a new joint proposal of 32 countries was introduced at the FSC meting on 23 October, an expressed hope that this new substantive joint proposal would serve as a new impetus for the discussion on the Vienna Document implementation and modernisation.
