UPDATE 2018

If you are interested in Small Scale Development Grants (further described as SSDG) financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, here  you can find basic conditions of your participation.

The main objective of this foreign development tool is not capacity building of the implementer (that means that standard expenditures need to be covered by implementer and money for the grant will not used for salaries or travel expenses etc.), but support of his/her development activities. However the SSDG should not bring just development outputs, but also increase the visibility of the Czech Republic. Therefore it is desirable that the implementer would cooperate with Czech subjects, e.g. would purchase Czech products, use Czech know-how etc.

The basic condition of participating on SSDG is that the implementation would be in one of EAC member states and the implementer would be an organization registered in the same EAC member state (e.g. organization registered in Kenya would implement a project in Kenya). Further crucial condition is sustainability (meaning the project would be able to run in a future without further financial support).

Projects are supported by the amount of 200 000 - 500 000 CZK (approx. 8 000 - 20 000 EUR), which needs to be spent within one year and fully reported (bookkeeping documents would be required) to the Embassy. It is possible to combine the SSDG with other financial sources.

If you are interested, please fill the Identification Form (XLS, 67 KB) and send it with documents proving the registration of implementer’s organization to the Embassy. The form needs to be signed by a representative of said organization, whose affiliation to this organization needs to be proven as well. The  Itentification form and all supporting documentation must be in English. Please send the form in a soft copy (xls(s)) and as a pdf (scan of printed and signed and stamped form) with above mentioned documentation to Embassy's email nairobi@embassy.mzv.cz. Kindly also deliver a hard copy to the Embassy (to the physical address - do not send it to Embassy's P.O. Box). Soft and hard copy need to be delivered till Monday 01.10.2018 16.00 Kenya time.

Incomplete and late submissions will be excluded.

The Embassy is ready to consult completeness and correctness of the form if received prior to the deadline (for that purpose a soft copy would be sufficient).

The Embassy wishes you a success in participation in SSDG.
