Main guests of the reception, which took place in the garden of the Ambassador's residence, were Senator Stephen Sung and Governor of Nyamira county Hon. John Nyagarama. During their speeches both guests appreciated high level of bilateral Czech-Kenyan relations and a good potential for mutual cooperation. Ambassador Řezáč reminded of opening of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Nairobi last year and informed about successes reached since then.

Present members of the Diplomatic Corps, Czech citizens living in Kenya and friends of the Czech Republic then watched a documentary movie of film director Ms. Olga Špátová "Far from the sun", depicting work of Czech doctors in Itibo hospital, in Nyamira county.
