Czech Cyber Agency hosted the Final Coordination Conference on NATO Cyber Coalition 2018 Exercise

The last fourth NATO Cyber Coalition exercise 2018 planning conference took place in Prague on October 30-31. The conference is a result of the yearlong preparations of the 11th iteration of the exercise.

Representatives of NATO member and partner countries and representatives of the NATO, EU, and NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Center of Excellence bodies gathered in Prague. They were tasked to prepare a scenario and contents of the exercise reflecting contemporary trends and threats in cyber security. This represents a challenging task due to the real-time evolution of the phenomenon.

As one of the largest and most important international cyber security exercises, Cyber Coalition hosts around 900 experts every year. Representatives of academia and the private sector also participate as they play a key role in the cyber security both for the exercise and in the real world. The scenarios of the Cyber Coalition series consist of solving cyber security incidents occurring across borders and sectors.

The Czech Republic counts as regular participant of the NATO Cyber Coalition exercise. The civilian element is managed by the National Cyber and Information Security Agency (NCISA) while the military element is coordinated by the Ministry of Defence.
