Anniversary celebration of the Baťa company welcomed Thomas G.Baťa at the Czech Embassy in Delhi

The Bata company is celebrating  several important anniversaries this year: 120 years since the founding of the company, 100 years since the birth of Tomas Jan Bata and 85 years since its launch, and later the production of footwear in India. These important dates were celebrated by the  company headquarters in Switzerland and in the Czech Republic and given the importance of India for developing the Bata company another  anniversary celebration in India could not be left out. The festive event to celebrate the Bata company presence in India was symbolically held in the premises of the Embassy of Czech Republic in New Delhi. The official reception was inaugurated by Thomas George Bata (grandson of Tomas Bata), current Chairman of the Board of Directors. On the occasion of the anniversaries Bata launched a limited collection of classic black walking shoes with ornamental pattern (a popular product of the founder of the company Mr. Tomas Bata) named "THE ONE" to symbolize the company's credo - available quality for everyday life. The line "THE ONE" was inaugurated during the reception at the Embassy in New Delhi as well and a pair of shoes from this collection was chosen as a symbolic gift to diffrent persons with whom T.G. Bata met during his stay in India. Besides the reception at the Embassy the program included an exhibition of  photographs  from the company history,  fashion show of Indian fashion designers and musical performance of a Indian rock band "Traffic Jam Band". Ambassador M. Stašek and T.G. Bata furthermore discussed the possibility to organize an exhibition for the 85th anniversary of the launch of the company Bata India next year.
