Central Banks mutual Cooperation

The Czech National Bank (CNB) and the Indian Reserve Bank of India (RBI) signed a document in Mumbai on 14 June 2017 regulating the cooperation of central banks in the area of financial market supervision and mutual information exchange. The document was signed by CNB Vice-Governor Vladimir Tomšík and RBI Vice-President S. S. Mundra in the presence of the Czech Ambassador to India.

The signing of the Letter of Cooperation document was preceded by a series of expert meetings on June 12 and 13, 2017, during which the two central banks exchanged views and experience from exercising their supervisory powers. The first day was also attended by RBI Vice Governor Vishwanathan

 The signature of the document governing the cooperation of central banks in the area of financial market supervision and mutual exchange of information is an important complement to the institutional framework of relations between the Czech Republic and India, which strengthens confidence in these relations and creates the prerequisites for greater involvement of commercial banking institutions in both markets.
