International Conference of Indologists 2015

Date: 21 November 2015 - 23 November 2015, Venue: Delhi, Rashtrapati Bhavan

A renowned Czech Indologist Professor Jaroslav Vacek, who 2 years ago received the Kural Peedam Award from Honourable President Pranab Mukherjee for his contribution to the study of classical Tamil literature, is taking part in the three-day International Conference of Indologists which began on Saturday, November 21, 2015 in Delhi.


This is a first of its kind event when India invited eminent Indologists from across the world to live in the Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace) and share various topics related to Indian culture and philosophy with senior scholars from India. 

The Conference has been inaugurated by the Honourable President of India Pranab Mukherjee (speech), External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj (speech), President of Indian Council for Cultural Relations Lokesh Chandra and by other personalities.
