Czech Companies Showcased their Products on Mining Exhibition in Kolkata

Czech companies took part in the International Mining, Equipments, Minerals and Metal Exhibition (IME 2017) in Kolkata on November 8-11, 2017. The companies showcased their products at the exhibition and their participation was organized by CzechTrade agency in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic under the incentive program NOVUMM and supported by Ambassador Milan Hovorka. He also had the opportunity to be one of the speakers at the opening session of the 7th Asian Mining Congress, which preceded the opening ceremony of the fair. During the visit to Kolkata, Ambassador also met with Minister for Finance, Commerce and Industry Amit Mitra from Government of West Bengal.

B2B meetings

 

Ambassador Milan Hovorka organized many meetings during the busy program to support Czech companies that have traditionally participated in the largest mining trade fair in the region. The companies, associated with the Czech extraction and mining technology association - ČDT, represented:

The companies showcased their products and solutions under the NOVUMM program at the exposition organized by the CzechTrade Agency with the support of the Czech Embassy in Delhi. The Czech exporters welcomed ambassador Milan Hovorka, who opened the fair and subsequently the Czech exposition in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Coal Susheel Kumar and the President of the coal giant Coal India Gopal Singh.
The Czech Business Delegation headed by Ambassador Hovorka visited Coal India Limited also the following day. During the meeting, Czech companies had the opportunity not only to present their business portfolios, but also to discuss the specific requirements that were brought to them by the Indian coal giant.
Czech Embassy in Delhi further organized B2B meetings, including the one with Santana Bush, CEO of West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited. The extraction of fossil fuels and the adjoined energy industry is very important factor to achieve the ambitious goals India has set itself. It is also a major buyer of mining and other technology, and therefore presents interesting opportunities for Czech companies and the application of their products on the Indian market.
