Defense Minister Lubomir Metnar discussed with Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, a number of common projects and overall collaboration in defense between the two countries. He also discussed these topics with representatives of all forces, Chief of Army Staff Bipin Rawat, Chief of Air Force Staff Birender Singh Dhanoa and Chief of Navy Staff Sunil Lanba. He could not miss the opportunity to meet the Karnataka Prime Minister, K.D. Kumaraswamy, with whom he discussed a number of issues related to the development of mutual relations and the presence of Czech companies in this dynamically developing state. At the same time, the Czech Minister of Defense met the top management of Walchandnagar Industries, a state-owned aircraft manufacturer, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and BEML, a state-owned company that cooperates with the Czech company Tatra Trucks to supply trucks for Indian armed forces.

Defense Minister Lubomir Metnar commented on his visit: "I am glad that during my discussions with my colleague and senior representatives of the Indian Armed Forces, I could also support the 11 Czech companies participating in this prestigious show." The President of the Czech Defense and Security Industry Association, Jiří Hynek, used the opportunity to appreciate the visit of  Minister which also  supported the Czech defense and aviation industry. "The mission at its level is helping us to open the door and solve the problems of our companies, and I want to thank the Embassy of the Czech Republic in  New Delhi, the CzechTrade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for preparing this joint presentation as part of the economic diplomacy project".
