The delegation also met for an interactive meeting with the Sri Lankan Board of Investment and attended a business forum organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. Both events offered excellent opportunity for B2B meetings with Sri Lankan partners.

Business mission was part of the Czech Republic's interest to further enhance business and political relations with Sri Lanka and represents Czech effort to support the process of democratization, national reconciliation and renewed dialogue between Sri Lanka and the international community. "In this regard the Czech Republic does not want to stay behind the current engagement of the international community. Sri Lanka has many things to offer and this business mission, however, was only the first step to strengthen bilateral ties and find new ways of cooperation both on the business and intergovernmental level. I believe that very soon we will have another opportunity to push relations between the two countries forward, "concluded Ambassador M. Hovorka
