Czech participation at AERO EXPO India 2017

Date: 02 November 2017 - 05 November 2017, Venue: IGI Airport, Rohini, New Delhi

On 2 and 3 November 2017 the second edition of the AERO EXPO India took place at the IGI Airport, New Delhi with participation of Czech companies CATC (Czech Aviation Training Centre) and Flying Academy. The AERO EXPO India was followed on 4 and 5 November by the 1st Heli-Expo at Pawan Hans Rohini Heliport, New Delhi.
 

Hon’ble Vice-President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu inaugurated the programme of the two day AERO EXPO exhibition and conference followed by Heli-Expo.

During the Panel Discussion on Skill Development during the second day of the Conference the CATC Liaison Head Mr. Jakub Chmelík took active role and stressed that „India will need well-trained aviation personnel to implement the new policy of enhancement of the remote and regional air connectivity. However the types of aircraft and infrastructure may differ from the international or intra metropolitan air routes the requirements for highly qualified and skilled workforce are basically the same. With this respect the demand for training in India is expected to grow, which is the reason why we are here.“

The Commercial and Economic Counsellor of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi Milan Touš also addressed the audience and mentioned that civil aviation is one of the key sectors requiring full attention and at the same time promising huge potential for further development of  bilateral co-operation between India and Czechia. He mentioned at the same time that this year another Czech company – Flying Academy which provides the training of pilots, started operations in India as well.
