Czech Participation at the Railways Expo & Conference After a Year

Another edition of one of India's leading railway events called Rail India Conference & Expo 2019 took place from 30th to 31st of August 2019 in Delhi, and similarly as the last year, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in India actively participated at this auspicious event through the contribution as one of panelists. Together with dignitaries like Chairman of Railway Board Vinod Kumar Yadav or Managing Director of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India, Anurag Sachan, Commercial Economic Counsellor Milan Dostál presented delegates the potential of Czech companies to modernize Indian market, which is one of the most perspective rail market in the world.
 

In India, the Czech Republic is considered as a railway power for its high-quality products of Czech companies and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi aims to promote those skills every year through regular participation. Every year, more than 200 participants has an opportunity to acquire awareness of the potential, capabilities and skills of the Czech manufactures in the railway industry.

Commercial and Economic Counsellor presented to the audience the Czech Republic’s railway manufacturing sector opportunities, its history and development and the importance for the national economy. During his speech also recalled successful projects as well as companies that have established themselves in the Indian market.

Many interesting domestic and international guests from private sphere and also from public sphere attended the conference, including the representative of the Czech wheelsets and axes manufacturer based in Aurangabad – BONATRANS.

Most significant topics of the two-day program were "Opportunities for foreign companies to enter the Indian market", "High-speed Corridors and Modernization of the Track" or "New Models of Financing of Joint Projects on Railways".
