Czech radar manufacturer T-CZ succeeds in India in cooperation with its partner Data Patterns

The Czech company T-CZ has recently completed the first batch of deliveries of sub systems as part of a contract to deliver precision approach radars for airports operated by the Indian Navy and Air force. The contract has been awarded to Data Patterns, an Indian high-tech company from Tamil Nadu, which has joined hands with T-CZ for this project. Data Patterns sources key systems for the units, such as computer equipment and software for data processing and display, voice and data recorders, and network infrastructure, from the Czech OEM. The Czech-Indian cooperation in the field of radars showcases the opportunities and potential of the Indian market for Czech companies.

The first delivery of air traffic control equipment, including training for the customer, installation, and calibration, took place at the Arakkonam airport. The plan is to complete the delivery of 8 more units by the Indian-Czech consortium by mid-2023. This prestigious project for the Indian Ministry of Defence could pave the way for further business opportunities in India. The Czech Embassy in Delhi has been supporting this project as part of its economic diplomacy activities.

The aerospace and defence industries are highly promising sectors for Czech exporters. Besides air traffic control radars, opportunities exist in areas such as co-development and manufacturing of jet and rotary engines, unmanned aerial vehicle technologies, and the space industry. Czech exporters can start their journey in India by participating in DEFEXPO or Aero India, the largest and most important Indian aerospace and defence exhibitions. Aero India 2023 will take place from 12-17 February 2023 in Bangalore, with the participation of a Czech business delegation led by the Czech ambassador to India, Her Excellency Eliska Zigova.
