Czechs Participated at International Small and Medium Enterprises Convention 2019

Nine Czech companies presented themselves during the International Small and Medium Enterprises Convention 2019 in Delhi. The Convention was organized from 27th to 29th of June 2019, during which the Czech Republic was the partnering country. Participation at the Conference was supported by personal presence of Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India and Mr. Richard Hlavaty, Senior Director General, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, as the area of ​​small and medium-sized enterprises is an important pillar of socio-economic development as well as the most promising area of Indo-Czech business relations.
 

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi secured and prepared an attractive exhibition stall and organized a joint showcase with the Czech companies present – CINK Hydro-Energy, ComAp, ČKD Turbo Technics, Gyan Consulting, Mavel, Mounting Solar-Kit, Papcel, Strojírny Brno and S.V.I.S. Trade. On Friday 28th of June, Ambassador Milan Hovorka, who headed the Czech official and business delegation cut the ribbon together with Senior Director General from the Ministry of Industry and Trade Mr. Richard Hlavatý, to ceremonially launch Czech participation at ISME Convention 2019. Director General Hlavaty also appeared during the inaugural panel of Convention, where he addressed to the last seat full Plenary Hall with a speech about the potential of small and medium sized businesses among our two nations.

 

Innauguration Session

 

Apart from the stall presentation, Czech enterprises had the opportunity to present their companies during the Country session solely dedicated to the Czech Republic. An hour long interesting breakout session attracted hundreds of visitors and the following B2B meetings in one of the hotel lounges continued for a long time after the conclusion of the session.

 

During the ISME Convention 2019, Czech companies enjoyed a great deal of interest from the visitors, mainly because their innovative solutions, which they offer. Hydropower and Solar Energy technologies were among the most sought after by Indian visitors. However, the space for the further development and deployment of small and medium-sized enterprises still exists as the business and investment mood in the Czech Republic is set to be very positive. The Embassy will therefore continue in its efforts to support the SME sector by organizing joint participations.
