Czech Republic participated on DEFEXPO INDIA 2016

Business delegation led by H.E. Tomas Kuchta, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic visited Goa from 28 – 30 March 2016 and attended Land, Naval & Internal Homeland Security Systems Exhibition, DEFEXPO INDIA 2016, India's flagship arms show.

Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, H.E.  Milan Hovorka took part at the DEFEXPO as well.

The Czech company TATRA Trucks showcased their heavy-duty TATRA 8×8 T815 vehicle at the DEFEXPO 2016 exhibition. TATRA 8×8 T815 is a high mobility heavy duty truck which has been designed to transport battle tank or military aircraft.



Ray Service, a Czech manufacturing company providing comprehensive solutions in the area of cable assemblies, electromechanical assemblies, electronic equipment and cable component delivery also exhibited their products in their Exhibition Stall at the DEFEXPO India 2016.

Another Czech company ELDIS closely working with Mahindra & Mahindra in the area of the Air Traffic Control and Air Defense technologies and VOP CZ that specializes in the field of military equipment engineering production and development were represented during the trade fair through their partners.

Czech companies offering solutions in the field of machinery for defense production, TS Plzeň and Svachouček, sent their representatives to be the part of the Czech business delegation.

H.E. Tomas Kuchta, Honorable Deputy Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic addressed Assocham Global Investors' Summit. The Summit was also addressed by H.E. Manohar Parrikar, Honorable Defence Minister of India, Chief of the Army Staff General Dalbir Singh ‎and the President of Airbus Group India Mr. Pierre de Bausset.

On the occasion of the Trade Fair H.E. Tomas Kuchta also met H.E. Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, Honorable Minister of Railways, Government of India. The Czech delegation had a series of bilateral meetings with H.E. Manohar Parrikar, Honorable Defense Minister of India, H.E. Rao Inderjit Singh, Honorable Minister of State for Defense, Chief of the Army Staff General Dalbir Singh and Deputy Chief of the Air Staff of Indian Air Force Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria.

The Czech Delegation met Dr. S Christopher Director General, Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in presence of other staff members of DRDO.

The Czech delegates had series of meetings with public and private sector officials of Bharat Earth Movers (BEML Ltd), Ordnance Factories Board (OFB), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Mahindra & Mahindra and with Punj Lloyd.
