The highlights of the mission were meetings with the Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy Mr Piyush Goyal and with the Governor of the State of Maharashtra Mr Chennamaneni Vidyasagar Rao. These meetings confirmed extraordinary interest for deeper involvement of the Czech businessmen in development of the Indian energy sector and establishing of new partnership relations on entrepreneurs level.

The Czech Republic and its competence in the field of energy are very well accepted in India. Inda has ambitious plans what is concerning renewal of current as well construction of new energy facilities. If the country should grow by 8-10 % every year it needs sufficient energy capacity at the same time to comply with environmental limits. And such capacity doesn't exist yet. This is the opportunity for new Indo-Czech partnerships. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi will be supporting intensively to let them happen.
