Event on the Ocassion of Polar Sciences Collaboration

Date: 19 November 2018 - 20 November 2018, Venue: Goa

The Embassy of the Czech Republic informs the research community and invites them to participate in the two-day event "Exploring shared experiences and upcoming opportunities for Indo-European Polar science collaboration Horizon 2020 call on Arctic" to be held on 19-20 November 2018 in Goa, India. This event takes place in a direct connection with the launch of the call for applications for Horizon 2020 research project applications announced by the European Commission together with the Ministry of Earth Sciences of India on November 14, 2018. Participation in the event will offer an interesting opportunity to establish relationships, network of contacts or directly consortia for joint projects in the field of polar sciences.
 

Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, Delegation of the European Union to India, Royal Norwegian Embassy to India and Research Council of Norway invites scientists in India and Europe to a two-day event. The aim of this event is to "Explore shared experiences and upcoming opportunities for Indo-European Polar science collaboration Horizon 2020 call on Arctic". This event will share experiences form ongoing Indo-Norwegian polar and climate projects and targets potential applicants to build consortium for developing joint Indo-European project proposal. The event will offer an exceptional opportunity to present your project idea, or your competence, to all stakeholders from Europe and India. Applicants from other countries may also join EU-India consortia.

For more information on the Call " The changing cryosphere: uncertainties, risks and opportunities (LC-CLA-07-2019), scheduled to be launched on November 14, 2018, please visit the European Commission website. Deadline for submit of applications is set on February 19, 2019. Unlike the previous calls in 3 + 3 format, this call is conceived as 3 +1, so 3 participants from EU need to be created + 1 Indian. For this reason, participation in the event means the opportunity to establish contact with Czech and other European partners, and given the vast experience of the Czech republic, especially those with the extensive know-how in the field of polar sciences. Participation in the event is not charged, but the participants pay all other costs (accommodation, food, transportation).
