The Czech Republic is going to attract Bollywood Filmmakers on IIFTC Film Locations Fair in Mumbai

Date: 01 March 2018 - 03 March 2018, Venue: Mumbai

The Czech Republic is taking an important role in the IIFTC Film Locations Fair in Mumbai on March 1 - 3, presenting the potential of Czechia for Filmmakers from Indian Bollywood! The joint project of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi, Czech Tourism Authority - CzechTourism and the Czech Film Commission is another of the projects of economic diplomacy to support inbound tourism.

The Film Locations Fair will begin on March 1, 2018, with its opening ceremony, which will be inaugurated by H.E. Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India. The next two days will take place a film tourism conclave full of presentations, B2B meetings and roundtables that aim to attract Indian filmmakers whose industry is the second biggest in the world after US Hollywood. And the Czech Republic has lots to offer - every year a number of films with starring Indian casts are filmed in Prague, but also in other parts of the Czech Republic, which are consequently searched for by visitors from the ever-growing middle class of India. The results are also noticeable in figures - last year, the growth of Indian visitors reached double digit numbers, making a significant contribution to the national income. The project is co-funded by the PROPED economic diplomacy tool together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for Regional Development.
