In Delhi, Minister Hüner met with Minister of Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Railways and Coal Piyush Goyal, Minister of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises Anant Geete, Minister of State for External Affairs M. J. Akbar and Minister of State for Energy, New and Renewable Resources of Energy R. K. Singh.

Minister Hüner together with Minister of State for External Affairs M. J. Akbar opened the 4th edition of the India-Europe 29 Business Forum, where the Czech Republic participated as a Focus Country.

The companies that accompanied the minister, such as BPS Industrial Buildings, CEB, EGAP, Ekotechnik Czech, Home Credit, Chemoprojekt, Kovona, Novako EU, Pískot, Profimet, STROS - Sedlčanské strojírny, Škoda Auto, Zentity and VŠE participated on B2B meetings during the Forum.

Another major business forum was held in Delhi in cooperation with the PHD Chamber of Commerce. On this occasion, Minister Hüner met a group of leading Indian investors that are present with their companies in the Czech Republic.

In Aurangabad, Maharashtra, which was the next stop on his business trip to India, Minister Hüner supported the business activities of two flagships of the Czech engineering industry, Škoda Auto and GHH Bonatrans. "Both companies are reflecting entrepreneurial success and serve as an example for others, and I am very pleased that they are also contributing to branding of the Czech Republic in India," the minister said.

In Chennai, the Minister opened a Czech Exhibition Pavillion at one of the most prestigious engineering fairs in India, the International Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS2018), to which the Czech Republic participated as a partner country. Another group of Czech entrepreneurs joined the Minister and his delegation. The Association of Engineering Technology, the Czech Business Incubator, Energy Stereo / BAC Asia, Fermat, Liko-S, Moravia Steel, Papcel, Ray Service, Skoda Auto, Šmeral Brno, TOS Hostivar, TS Plzen, VH-Services, ZKL Bearings, GHH Bonatrans and ŽĎAS participated at the Trade Fair as exhibitors.

Representatives of the Technical University of Liberec also joined the delegation in Chennai, and participating at various conferences they presented the topic of Czech-Indian scientific and technical cooperation. The success of the Czech presentation at the fair was highlighted by presenting the award to the  Czech Pavillion as one of the best expositions.

At the end of his working trip to India, Tomas Hüner, Minister of Industry and Trade, together with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Miloslav Stašek, opened the Festival of Czech Cinema. "Culture has traditionally played an important role in the development of relations between the Czech Republic and India, creating a variety of synergies that can be used not only in developing human relationships but also in building trade and investment partnerships," said Milan Hovorka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, who accompanied the Minister of Industry and Trade and his delegation during the visit to India.
