MSV International Engineering Fair cancelled

Due to the COVID situation, the traditional International Engineering Fair, held regularly since 1959 at the Brno Exhibition Centre in the Czech Republic, has been cancelled. The decision was taken by the Board of Directors of Veletrhy Brno (BVV Trade Fairs Brno) after a thorough consideration of all factors and risks associated with the organizing of the trade fair and after an evaluation of the current health rules for trade fairs and mass gathering events.

The announced rules for organizing the trade fairs by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic cannot be applied to MSV International Engineering Fair. These rules are in contradiction to the character and scale of a trade fair such as MSV. Respecting these rules might damage the reputation and brand of this internationally important event.

MSV is, therefore, another victim of the COVID pandemic among other leading European trade fairs. It is postponed until year 2021.

BVV Trade Fairs Brno expect to hold other planned trade fairs in the second half of 2020, which are of smaller scale than MSV. The first will be the STYL and KABO – B2B fashion contracting trade fairs taking place on 22-24 August 2020, which meets the set current rules in terms of attendance.

Congresses and corporate events can also take place at the exhibition centre. The Brno Exhibition Centre allows several separate events to take place in parallel at the same time. For further information on events organized by BVV Trade Fairs Brno visit their website.

We are looking forward to seeing Indian exhibitors and visitors at the International Engineering Fair in 2021!
