In October 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic launched the implementation of a project aimed at providing training for staff members of the Embassies participating in the procedure of consideration and issuing short-term Schengen Visas. Completion of the project is planned for the end of September 2022. As part of this, an ongoing training of the Czech consular staff from the region of Central and Southeast Asia took place at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi on 24 & 25 May 2022. It focused on the enhancing the professional qualification of consular staff posted at the Consular Section of the Czech diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad.

The aim is to support the common EU/Schengen Visa policy, increase the qualifications and expertise of consular staff, in the form of continuous education focused on EU / Schengen and Czech legislation relating to short-stay Schengen visas and their implementation in practice.

The project is directly related to the project "Implementation of the Consular Training Module" registered under number ISF / 4/01, which took place in the period 2016–2018.
