Next Registration Dates for the Employee Card Application Appointments (Employee Cards Not Included in The Government Program „Qualified Employee India”) - Lottery/Draw

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi is pleased to announce that the next submission dates for registration into the subsequent lottery/draw are February 28, 2020 and March 2, 2020.  The registrations are to be lodged at the visa application centre of the VFS Global company in New Delhi with the aim of arranging an appointment for the personal submission of the employee card application (Employee Cards NOT included in the Government Program "Qualified Employee India") in the period between April and June 2020. The drawn registration numbers will then be published on the website of the Embassya along with the particular appointment dates.  The Applicants holding the drawn registration numbers have to submit their Employee card applications at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi on the given appointment date personally.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic then draws 25 registration numbers whose holders are going to be provided with an appointment date for the personal submission of the employee card application in the period between April and June 2020. Only the registrations submitted in accordance with the following rules are going to be admitted into the subsequent lottery/draw.

1.) WHEN:  The registrations for the subsequent lottery/draw take place on February 28th, 2020 in the time frame from 9:00 a.m. till 2 p.m. local Indian time and March 2nd, 2020  in the time frame from 9:00 a.m. till 1 p.m.  local Indian time.

Please NOTE: Each registration can be lodged in 1 of the 2 above available registration dates only!!! The applicants can register themselves for the subsequent lottery on any of these 2 above registration dates as per their choice and convenience. The multiple submission of the registrations is not allowed and such registrations are not going to be processed for the purpose of the subsequent lottery.

2.) WHERE: The applicant appears personally or an authorized person (with a power of attorney - does not need to be authenticated by a notary public) appears on the applicant’s behalf at the visa application centre of the VFS Global Company in New Delhi on the following address: Mezzanine Floor, Shivaji Stadium Metro Station, Baba Kharak Singh Road, New Delhi, 110001.

NO other visa application centres will accept the registrations!!!

3.) The applicant is entitled to register only one application for the subsequent lottery/draw.

Please NOTE: The lottery/draw itself is not going to be held at the Embassy of the Czech Republic, nor at the Visa Application Center of the VFS Global Company.

4.) The authorized person is entitled to register one candidate only.

5.) The applicant submits his/her identity document and a copy of the data page of his/her passport. Additionally, the authorized person submits the power of attorney along with the copy of the data page of his/her passport or ID card.

6.) The applicant pays an administrative fee of 1000 CZK (Czech Crown). This fee will be accepted in Indian ruppees only according to updated Exchange rate (see Visa and Consular Fees). This fee is non-refundable.

7.) Applicants are provided with a registration coupon (as a confirmation of the payment of the administrative fee) which bears a unique number. This unique number is then going to be the subject of the subsequent draw/lottery. Paying the administrative fee does not guarantee that the candidate is obtaining an appointment for the employee card submission.

8.) The registered applicants are not going to be informed about the result of the draw/lottery directly (per phone, via e-mail or in any other ways). The information regarding the registration coupon which have been drawn in the lottery and the particular appointment dates are going to be published on the website of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi till March 31, 2020.

9.) If the applicant does not personally appear on the allocated appointment date, this expires automatically.

It is to be stressed out that the registration not guarantee that the applicant will be provided with an appointment date for the personal submission of the employee card application. This only presents a registration of candidates applying for an appointment date, out of whom 25 are going to be randomly drawn in terms of the lottery. These are going to be informed regarding the allocated appointment date through the website of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi.

It is further to be noted that even in case of submitting of an employee card application, there is no guarantee that the employee card is going to be granted. The decision process related to the employee card applications falls in its entirety into the competence of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic and there is no legal claim on obtaining an employee card.

The above described appointment system has been adopted in accordance with the Directive 2011/98/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 December 2011 on a single application procedure for a single permit for third-country nationals to reside and work in the territory of a Member State and on a common set of rights for third-country workers legally residing in a Member State and the Art. 169f of the Act No. 326/1999 Coll., on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Territory of the Czech Republic and the jurisprudence of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Czech Republic (judgement No. 10 Azs 153/2016 of May 30, 2017).

At the moment of the registration, each applicant is going to be provided with a Information note regarding the rules and rights of the applicants in terms of the above explained application system. To express the agreement with the terms of the appointment system, the applicants are going to sign this information note.
