Long-Term Visa, Long-Term Residence Permit and Employee Card

Long-stay visa is issued to applicants who plan to stay in the territory of the Czech Republic for more than 3 months. Applicants for long-term visa, residence permit and employee card must book their appointment date via the booking system. All applicants have to submit their application at the Embassy of the Czech Republic personally.

Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi accepts above mentioned applications of citizens of India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. You can to submit the application at the Czech Embassy in Delhi only if you are a citizen of above mentioned states, if these states issued your current travel document or if you have a long-term or permanent residence permit in these states and you have been residing there legally and continously for at least two years. You do not have to meet these conditions if you are a citizen of a state presented in the list of countries whose nationals are entitled to file an application for a long-term visa at any Czech Embassy whatsoever (Decree No. 429/2010 Coll.).The diplomatic mission forwards the application to the Ministry of the Interior for an evaluation and decision. If the application is evaluated positively, the visa is issued by the diplomatic mission where the application was filed.

If the purpose of stay continues, it is possible to apply on the territory of the Czech Republic at the Ministry of the Interior for an extension.
