Government scholarships for Indian Students in 2023/2024

Date: 01 January 2023 - 15 February 2023, Venue: Czech Republic

Based on the bilateral agreement with India, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi is announcing scholarships  for the academic year 2023/2024 to graduate or postgraduate students from India for a study stay at public universities in the Czech Republic.

Three scholarships in total are offered for the next year and are designed for:

1. university students or

2. college students or

3. graduates or

4. Ph.D. candidates (exceptionally for academic staff members)

who wish to undertake study or research visit to one of the Czech public institutions of higher education.

 

The scholarship includes:

• up to 10 months of research/study stay at one of the Czech public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic free of charge,

• 9,000 CZK (approx. 400 USD) per month for graduate students,

• 9,500 CZK (approx. 420 USD) per month for postgraduate students,

• accommodation at the student dormitory for discounted price,

• breakfast, lunch and dinner provided at the student dormitory for discounted price,

• no visa application fee


The scholarship doesn't include air ticket and medical insurance to the Czech Republic.

The following documents should be delivered in duplicate:

All documents must be written in or translated into English or Czech language.

2. letter of invitation from the respective university/department - Applicants are advised to contact the preferred university that they intend to apply for the MEYS’ scholarship.

3. academic curriculum vitae

4. list of publications (if published any)

5. detailed plan of study/research

6. two letters of recommendation from academic supervisors or employer

7. photocopy of diploma (if applicable) - Diploma/university degree must be verified by notary!

8. certified transcript(s) of records - Must be certified by the respective department/university

9. copy of passport

10. only fine arts and performing arts students/graduates: a sample of  artistic work (photographs, video/audio recording of a musical performance etc.)

These documents are to be delivered in original to the address below in 2 copies (original + 1 copy) by February 15, 2023:

Incomplete application dossiers and/or inadequately completed application forms will not be processed.

Applicants are required to point out to the prospective host universities that they intend to apply for the MEYS’ scholarship.
