Embassy at the International Charity Bazaar in Delhi

The entire team of the Embassy of the Czech Republic to India participated at the International Charity Bazaar which was organized by the Delhi Commonwealth Women' Association (DCWA) at the Ashok Hotel in New Delhi on February 26th, 2017.

Items for sale at the Czech stand so graciously prepared by the staff of the Embassy or offered by Czech companies included a variery of typical Czech food specialties like Czech-style gingerbread, apple pie, cottage cheese and poppy seed cakes, pork and chicken saussages, beer and branded glass jewellery (Preciosa). Ambassador Hovorka and his spouse Jarmila were grateful to all Indian and foreign friends for their visit and the interest they have shown in the Czech Republic. "Without their support we would not have been able to contribute in such a bold manner to the success of the Bazaar and offer 130,000 Rupees for good cause," commented Ambassador who was equally grateful to his Embassy's team for a remarkable performance and commitment.

 DCWA, Being a non-government body receives no grants, raise own funds; which enables the Association to support and run - Medical centers, camps, pre school for the under-privileged, schooling for children with Special needs, scholarships to deserving schools children, social Services.

We always encourage everyone to help DCWA in any way:

  • If you have spare time - get in touch with one of our members and volunteer for our projects, learning centre and medical centre.
  • If you have spare goods - donate so that we can recycle for the under privileged.
  • You can help us with cash donations which go towards scholarships, Medicines, learning centre and medical equipment.
  • Take part in our fund raising activities.
