Greetings to everyone,

My name is Shivam Aditya Pachauri. I attended the Summer School of Slavonic Studies 2023, and my experience was nothing short of excellent- both in terms of education and experience. Whether it was learning the intricacies of placing the reflexive participle in the daily Czech vernacular or roaming within the Old Town Alley's King's route- that still echoes the songs of a captivating history, every day, I had something new to learn. The lessons with Mr. Jan and Mr. Stepan, along with my classmates in class- 2A, felt like being in school again, where curiosity isn't met with scorn, exploration and learning have a fertile environment to flourish, and learning and joy weren't alien to each other.
Experiencing the culture of Prague and the Czech Republic through my own eyes was an absolute treat. As a fish out of familiar waters, I had the utmost joy of witnessing how welcoming and kind people are in Prague and Czechia. Every wall tells a history, every alley echoes a different song, and the beauty of the place speaks through its people. And did I mention the castles?      
I am extremely grateful to Mr.Filip Dufek, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Delhi, India and Ms. Veronika Resslova, Lecturer of Czech language at the University of Delhi, for providing me with the opportunity to attend the Summer School of Slavonic Studies. I also want to extend my immense gratitude towards the Authorities at Charles University and the team at Kajetanka Dormitory for their consistent and kind help that resulted in a fruitful, productive and holistic learning experience.  
There is a lot to say but even more to remember. Again, I am grateful to have been allowed to experience the culture, people, history and beauty of Prague and Czechia firsthand. I hope to come back again in future because when it comes to Prague, it's no hyperbole to say that once will never be enough!
