Getting an opportunity to study in 65. Letní Škola Slovanských Studií v Praze ( 65th Summer School Of Slavonic Studies in Prague) that took place in Charles University, Prague was like a dream come true.

Studying in Summer school was really an amazing experience. I came across students from different nationalities who were too curious and excited like me to participate in summer school and learn about Czech Republic's culture, history and language in deep.

The Summer School programme began with a welcome ceremony and ended with a great closing ceremony where we all felt proud to be a part of their university and culture.

The management of Summer School was superb.  Everything was pre-planned and well organized from our lessons, stay , activities in the evening , food that was provided in the morning and evening at the dormitory itself and rest for lunch food coupons were provided ,we had seminars and different co-curricular activities.

Every weekend we had trips where they took us all around Prague and even the other cities of Czech Republic.

The classes went smooth the teachers were cooperative. All of us who came to participate in the Summer School were bifurcated to the levels of language on basis of their knowledge in language via an interview.

Being a girl my utmost priority was safety and I felt much more safe there.

I would really like to thank the Czech Embassy, Delhi and my Department of Slavonic and Finno- Ugrian Studies, Delhi University in providing us with this great opportunity in form of scholarships to study in Czech Republic.

Hello everyone. I am Muskan Gagneja, I am studying Czech language for 2 years now at the Department of Slavonic and Finno-ugrian studies.

This year I got a scholarship to attend Summer School of Slavonic Studies at the Charles University,Prague.
I always dreamed about Prague because I’ve seen Prague in so many bollywood movies and when I went there it was even more than my expectations and the summer school it was very well organised and interactive we met a lot of students from different different countries and we made good friendships with them and the organisers have already planned a lot of trips for us, they made us explore the whole Prague, so many castles, so many monuments, museums and it was so amazing like over there every place will tell you a great history about it. And when it comes to studies, the faculty was so cooperative and understanding. They put us in the level according to our understanding and helped us speaking czech.

During the summer school, there were so many things organised for us for example: Everyday czech movie, pride walk, trip to different different cities for eg Plzen, and also  trip to mountains, Prague castle and so on.
In the end I would just like to describe my experience. I never thought czech language can be this much beautiful for me and exploring everything in Czech Republic with the knowledge of Czech language it was amazing.

I would also like to thanks our faculty in India, our teacher Ms. Veronika Ressalova for teaching us the language and helping us in every thing and also The diplomat of Czech embassy Mr. Filip Dufek, who helped us in understanding the procedure and always helping us in every task that we faced.
