International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice 2018

Ambassador Helena Bambasová handed over honorable diploma to Lee Seohee from the American International School in Cyprus who was awarded for her work under the theme “Water”.

The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA) was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by German Nazis in 1942, as well as all other children who have died in wars. This exhibition became an international event and is well known among children and teachers not only in the Czech Republic but nearly all over the world. Every year the Lidice Memorial in cooperation with UNESCO opens a new themed competition. In 2018 more than thirty thousand works under the title “Water” from 79 countries were registered.

Lee Seohee, 6 years old student from the American International School in Cyprus (AISC) received an honorable diploma of the competition organizers from Czech Ambassador Helena Bambasová who congratulated her on the remarkable success. Every year the AISC opens a workshop for young artists who wish to join the Lidice exhibition and helps to promote it in Cyprus. Ambassador Bambasová thanked the school principal Amy Clerides for her strong personal support of the project and wished the participating AISC students great success in the 2019 season.

The upcoming 47th edition is open until February 2019 under the title “Chemistry”.
