During friendly talks, President Jóhannesson highly appreciated the bilateral problem-free relations between both countries and repeated his congratulations to the newly elected president Petr Pavel. President Jóhannesson expressed interest in current situation in Czechia and in the Czech community in Iceland, which reaches almost 1000 inhabitants. While discussing international affairs, partners condemned the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine and its consequences.

On the occasion of his visit to Iceland, Ambassador David Červenka held talks with senior representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iceland. He was received by the State Secretary Martin Eyjólfsson, as well as by the Director General for International Affairs and Policy María Mjöll Jonsdóttir and by the Director General for External Trade and Economic Affairs Ragnar Kristjánsson. The discussions confirmed that Czechia and Iceland are close Allies and like-minded partners. At the same time, a potential for strengthened cooperation, both politically and in economic sphere (e.g. construction, healthcare or transport industry), has been identified.

Furthermore, Ambassador Červenka met with the Head of EU Delegation to Iceland, Ambassador Lucie Samcová-Hall Allen, and discussed key topics in Iceland's relations with the EU. Ambassador's programme also included a meeting with the Ambassador of Poland Gerard Pokruszyński  as the doyen of the diplomatic corps in Iceland, with the Czech honorary consul Őgmundur Skarphédinsson and with representatives of the local Czech community.
