Ambassador meets with members of the First Field Surgical Team of the Army of the Czech Republic

Ambassador Jaroslav Knot met with members of the First Field Surgical Team of the Czech Army, who attended a one-week training course in Norway before they will be send to Afghanistan.
 

On January 16, 2020, the Ambassador visited the Sessvollmoen military base, which hosted an international exercise and training course SNOWFLAKE 2020 for surgical teams from selected NATO member states. In addition to military health professionals from Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, the USA and the United Kingdom, members of the First Field Surgical Team of the Army of the Czech Republic participated also in the exercise before they will be send to the planned Resolute Support mission in Afghanistan.

The following day, Ambassador Jaroslav Knot hosted a breakfast in honor of military health professionals, attended also by the commanders of the Norwegian medical team. The Ambassador highly appreciated the contribution that health professionals contribute to the operation of the Czech military contingent in Afghanistan. He also stressed the excellent relations of the Czech Republic and Norway in the field of mutual military cooperation.
