Summer school of Slavonic Studies 2021

The Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies offering Czech language courses are organized by several public universities in the Czech Republic and students from Norway can apply for 3 scholarships.
Following three courses will take place this year. Due to the restrictions connected with the pandemic situation the courses were canceled last year. Two candidates nominated last year for the university in Prague and Olomouc will therefore participate in the course this year. Students can apply for these courses just as alternates. The scholarship for Masaryk University in Brno is free to apply for.
Masaryk University in Brno (1 scholarship): 24. 7. - 21. 8. 2021
Charles University in Prague (1 scholarship): 23.7. - 19. 8. 2021 (alternate only)
Palacký University in Olomouc (1 scholarship): 17. 7. - 15. 8. 2021 (alternate only)

Scholarships can only be awarded to applicants who are nominated by the competent authorities. Applications should be delivered to the Czech Embassy in Oslo (Fritzners gate 14, 0264 Oslo) by 15 March 2021.
The courses are designed for foreign students, teachers, translators and interpreters and other experts active in the field of Czech/Slavonic studies. Due to their broad scope they are, however, open to anyone else who is interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture. The Summer Schools offer language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars on the Czech literature, culture and history, free-time activities including theatrical, musical and dance performances, trips etc.
Each scholarship consists of free board and lodging, coverage of course fees and free access to cultural events which are part of the course programm.
Health insurance is NOT provided to scholarship-holders, who are advised to arrange a medical insurance policy for the period of their stay in the Czech Republic. EU/EEA medical insurance system is described on the website of the Health Insurance Bureau: https://www.kancelarzp.cz/index.php/en
