The 52nd International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice

Every year, with the International Children's Art Exhibition Lidice, we commemorate the victims of the extermination of Lidice, the death of Lidice's children and all other children who perished in wars.

On June 10th 1942, the Nazis occupied and razed to the ground the peaceful Central Bohemian village of Lidice. 192 men were shot dead and women and children were deported to concentration camps.

The memory of Lidice was never wiped out and after WW2 Lidice was restored. There is a memorial and a museum located where old Lidice once stood. The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice) was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by German Nazis, as well as all other children who have died in wars.

The United Nations has designated 2024 as the International Year of the Camelids, and it will be the 150th anniversary of the Universal Postal Union.

The 52nd  ICEFA Lidice will be dedicated to the theme:

CARAVAN

The word "caravan" evokes thoughts of travel, adventure, freedom, or independence. It can also remind us of the nomadic life of people who move from place to place and live in constant contact with nature. In a broader sense, it can symbolize a community, sharing experiences, traveling without borders, and freedom of movement.

Participation in the exhibition is open only to children aged 4 to 16, both as individuals and as representatives of schools and art clubs. People with disabilities can participate at any age.
