Czech Trade Mission to Canada

The Czech Embassy in Ottawa co-organized a trade mission of Czech companies and businessman to Canada.  This mission took place between  May  29 – June 4, 2016 and visited several provinces. The first of several economic forums and workshops was held in Ottawa (May 30, 2016), followed by Montréal (May 31, 2016), Calgary (June 1, 2016), Toronto (June 3, 2016) and the region of Niagara (June 4, 2016).
 

The delegation was led by the Senate President Milan Stech. He was accompanied by the Czech Senate delegation and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vladimir Bärtl. The trade mission was organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, under the leadership of Vice President Borivoj Minar. The delegation was  accompanied by the President of Canadian Chamber in the Czech Republic Jiri Krejca.

Several Czech companies representing various industries participated to the mission. The industries participating in the trade mission included petrochemical industry, energy, engineering, machinery, pharmaceutical, food, spa and tourism. Also participating will be legal and consulting firms.
