In order to waive temporary protection, you must visit the embassy in person and fill out a declaration of renounciation of temporary protection form. For minor children, the presence of their legal representative is sufficient.

For this purpose, first make an appointment through the email address consular_ottawa@embassy.mzv.cz.  Come to the meeting with your travel passport in which you have been granted temporary protection in the Czech Republic.

Temporary protection expires on the day the declaration is made at the embassy. One copy of your declaration will be returned to you, the second copy will be sent to the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic.
