Requirements: the original document, a piece of ID or proof of place of business of a legal person, consular fee; in case of postal application, a pre-paid and self-addressed registered mail envelop (preferably Xpresspost)  must be included.

Consular fee

Fee is set for 1 page, if the verification is made with the purpose of a registration of birth/marriage/death at the special register in Brno, the fee is collected in half.

The fee is accepted in cash (CAD only), by certified check addressed to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ottawa or by money order addressed to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ottawa. In case of personal submission, you can pay by bank card.

Processing time:  1 - 7 days

Additional notes: It is forbiden by the Czech law to verify documents such as proof of identification (for example passport, ID card, drivers license etc.), bankbooks, cheques, tickets, coupons, geometric or technical designes. We will also not certify a copy of an original document that conflicts with Czech legislation or good manners, has modifications that could impair its credibility, or its originality may not be reliably evaluated by the Consulate.
