Representatives of EU Member States' embassies in Phnom Penh also attended an informal discussion with the title "Free Talk" on 30 May 2019 at the EU Delegation. The discussion covered a number of themes of common relations between the EU and its states with Cambodia, such as diplomatic relations, development cooperation, mutual trade, study programs (Erasmus) and scholarships, human rights and climate change.

In an immediate and high-quality debate, representatives of Cambodian universities were also interested in the issues of the functioning of the European institutions, the impact of Brexit on the EU, as well as the conditions of study in Europe for disabled students or HIV-positive learners as well as "LGBT" students.
