Najponk Trio from the Czech Republic performed at a jazz night at Carnival City on 19 December 2015. The event called "Music Craft Xchange" was organized by the Music Craft Art Company with the support of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pretoria.

The night was opened by the performance of the South African jazz group Four Fourty under the leadership of the saxophonist Vee Sabongo, followed by progressive jazz performed by the renowned trumpeter Feya Faku and saxophonist Ace Mnisi. The highlight of the night was the performance Najponk Trio – piano Najponk, bass Petr Dvorký and drums Marek Urbánek.

Jazz master Najponk origins from the classic jazz roots - swinging rhythm and blues. His music is an original reinterpretation of jazz classics without unnecessary avant-garde experimentation that excels in creativity, virtuosity and the players' enthusiasm.

The artist is popular in the South African jazz world, no wonder that his performance was accompanied by a warm atmosphere.
