On a beautiful golf morning of 31 October diplomats, military atachés, representatives of SA Army and Government and other important guests and players gathered together with SA and Czech companies to take part in an exciting networking and presentation, 2nd annual Czechia Golf & Business VIP Day, at the prestigious Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club. The event was perceived as very successful and all the participants thoroughly enjoyed the rich programme, loads of great prizes and entertainment by brilliant golf professional Mr Michael Scholz. Proceeds of the day were for the benefit of Loveline Arts Foundation.

Amongst the participants one could find SA government representatives as well as high representatives SANDF, namely Chief Director of Material Governance, general Kopano P. Lebelo and Chief of Staff Joint Operations, general Asthon M. Sibango. Diplomatic Corps were very well represented by Ambassadors of Belarus, Dominican Republic, Malaysia, Mozambique, Poland, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam and also by Military Atachés of Brazil, Canada, India, South Korea, USA, and Vietnam.

The event highly contributed to the brand awareness and current business activities of Czech companies Česká zbrojovka a.s., AURA a.s., DSS a.s., Elmet s.r.o., ERA a.s., and  Tatra Trucks a.s. who proudly sponsored the event. The day was further sponsored by SA companies Tactical Defence Solutions, Tactical HQ, Ukhari Group, Cristal Direct, Formalito, Worldnet Logistics, Embassy Direct, Daytona Sports Cars, Fulgeo Diamonds, and Safari Guys.

Besides the remarkable round of golf on the East Champioship course, the participants were given an opportunity to taste the Czech beer Pilsner Urquel, excellent SA wine from Percy Koji Winery, a little bit of Czech cuisine at the prize giving dinner, and also to walk away home with a pair of wine glasses made of Czech Crystal provided by a local distributor Cristal Direct. The stunning Aston Martin and McLaren displayed belonged to Daytona Sports Cars.

One of the many highlights of the day was without a doubt the outstanding trick shot demonstration by golfer Michael Scholz whose witty sense of humour entertained the participants during the dinner, prize giving, charity raffle, and auction.

Proceeds of the day worth R 12000 were handed over to the Loveline Arts Foundation of famous opera singer Ms Loveline Madumo who sang a piece Czech opera Rusalka by world famous composer Antonín Dvořák.
