Presentation of Czech defence-related manufacturers for SANDF and SAPS

Renowned Czechia based manufactures of defence-related technologies presented their products to the variety of South African key stakeholders including South African National Defence Forces (SANDF) and South African Police Service (SAPS). The so-called “Czechia Shooting Day” organized by the Economic and Commercial Section of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pretoria took place on the 30 October 2020 at the Eeufees Military Shooting Range in Pretoria.

Apart from the mentioned SANDF and SAPS, the list of attendees ranged from Department of Defence and ARMSCOR representatives, military attachés, and defence associations and further included the City of Johannesburg officials, local distributors, and security agencies.

In order to secure the safety of the honoured guests whilst observing all the COVID-19 regulations, participants were split into three different stations under a strict supervision of trained professionals. Each station provided an opportunity to test a different cutting edge pistols and other semi-automatic and automatic fire arms of the Czech manufacturers demonstrated by their South African distributors.

The event aimed to create a platform whereby Czech and South African defence entities can explore mutually beneficial ways of cooperation. Given the overall highly positive feedback we dare to say that the mission was successfully accomplished.
