The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pretoria would like to thank all participants for sending proposals of small scale development projects for 2021. There were together 40 proposals of projects for South Africa and other countries accredited to our Embassy.

The Commission which consists several Departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and Czech Development Agency has selected only 1 proposal for the project in Angola called "Chitanda - Resilient Agriculture Systems" submitted by the NGO People in Need. We would like to congratulate People in Need on submitting such a wonderful project, which as the only one met all the criteria, corresponds to the development priorities of the Czech Republic, guarantees sustainability, has a logical construction, complexity and also the adequacy of costs.

A common mistake made in the submitted proposals was incompleteness, unsustainability of the project, excessive personal costs and non-compliance with formal requirements.

We believe that more projects will be approved for 2022, we will open a call for sending the proposal of projects during June 2021.
