Opening of Honorary Consulate of Czech Republic in Windhoek

On 15 October 2018, the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Windhoek was officially opened. The Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic to Namibia was officially announced as Mrs. Selma-Penna Utonih.
The opening ceremony took place in the garden of the Honorary Consulate’s residence (Fritsche Street 10, Pioneers Park, Windhoek), which is where the Honorary Consulate office is located.
The Honorary Consul's patent was taken over by Mrs Utonih from the ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr Michal Král. Mrs Utonih's term of office will be three years.
The opening of the Honorary Consulate was a ceremonial occasion with guests from the diplomatic community, the Namibian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Interior Ministry, the Namibian-Czech community and some compatriots as well as the NBC Namibian television.
