Warning: From 1 June 2015 more stringent rules for travelling with minors to and from South Africa enter into force

Minors must produce an unabridged birth certificate reflecting the particulars of both parents of the child. If he or she is not travelling with both parents, then also consent in the form of an affidavit from parents or the other parent.
Parents travelling with a child must produce an unabridged birth certificate (an original or a certified copy) of the child reflecting the particulars of both parents of the child. If the birth certificate is in Czech language, a certified translation into English must be presented.
In case one parent is travelling with a child, he or she must produce consent in the form of an affidavit from the other parent registered as a parent on the birth certificate of the child authorising him or her to enter into or depart from South Africa with the child (form - parental consent affidavit) and a copy of that parent´s passport. Contacts, namely address of residence and telephone, should be included.
In case a minor is travelling without parents, an official invitation letter, a copy of the passport and contacts of the person responsible for the minor in South Africa will be required in addition to the above mentioned affidavits.
The affidavit(s) must not be older that 3 months.
Where applicable, a court order granting full parental responsibilities and rights or legal guardianship in respect of the child, if he or she is the parent or legal guardian of the child; or a death certificate of the other parent registered as a parent of the child on the birth certificate will be required.
All the mentioned documents must be originals or certified copies and, if they are in Czech, a certified translation into English must be produced.
In the case a minor does have dual citizenship and the birth certificate and/or other above mentioned documents of the other state are in English, they can be used for the travel of the minor as well.
