Concert of Czech musicians in Pristina

On February 6, 2019, a concert recital of our leading Czech musicians, pianist Ivo Kahánek and flute player Mario Mesany was held in Pristina. The concert took place within the International Flute Sounds Festival. The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Pristina participated in the organization of the Festival.

 

Concert of Czech musicians was a great success. Ivo Kahánek and Mario Mesany presented works by Leoš Janáček, František Benda, Fryderyk Chopin, Claude Debussy and Eldin Burton with the addition of Dvořák's Humoreska. Among the guests were the representatives of the diplomatic corps, Kosovar professional music public and students of music. The next day both musicians took part in a workshop for young Kosovar musicians.
The Flute Sounds Festival runs from January to May and includes concerts, workshops and discussions with musicians, composers and and other important music personalities.
The concert also had a vivid response from the Kosovo media, the Klan Kosova TV station, Koha Ditore - main Kosovo daily newspaper, Koha.net - news portal, KultPlus - specialized on line media on culture who broadcasted, published and posted their reports and interviews with both musicians.
