Cooperation between Czech and Kosovo elementary schools

On Monday, November 21, 2016 the Czech Ambassador Ivo Šilhavý visited elementary school Liria in Pogragjë, Gjilan region which cooperates on a long-term project with the partner elementary school Chvaletická in Prague. The distinguished guest, the first Kosovo Ambassador in Prague since its independence in 2008, Mr. Hilmi Zogjani, was introduced by the Ambassador Šilhavý. Under the auspices of the Czech Embassy Mr. Zogjani shared with pupils of this elementary school his experience from the time he spent in the Czech Republic.
On April 18, 2016 the Headmaster of Chvaletická Primary School in Prague 9 Josef Knepr signed Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation with Headmaster of “Liria” Primary School (Pogragjë, Gjilan) Hajrush Limoni in Pogragjë.
The main purpose of cooperation is to improve knowledge of schoolchildren of both schools in European and global context and to apprise them of cultural differences. The cooperation is being implemented within a framework of a long term project. A joint presentation on the web site of Chvaletická school is part of the project.
