Czech artist gained success in the concert in Pristina

On September 29, 2016 a well-known Czech artist, oboist Michaela Hrabánková, performed in the concert dedicated to St. Teresa at the Catholic Church "Shën Ndou" in Pristina. The concert was a highlight of the 8th International Festival "Flute Sounds" which is being organized since 2002 by the Art Association "New Spirit”. The Czech Embassy in Pristina was a partner of this year’s Festival which was held from September 27 till 30, 2016.
 

The renowned Czech artist, Michaela Hrabánková, also held art workshops, where students from the Art Faculty at Pristina University were given lessons of the oboe master playing. The International Festival culminated with a concert in which the Czech artist, accompanied by the chamber orchestra "Orpheus" from Bulgaria under the direction of Raitcho Hristov, was interpreting pieces of work of the French artist Tariq Benouark "Silencio" and the Chuvash composer from Russia Anissim Alamas “Songs of the ancestors – Poem”. The performance of Michaela Hrabánková was met with a glowing response by the Kosovo audience, which rewarded the Czech artist by an intensive applause.

Other soloists were soprano Jeta Çitaku and flutist Erëmira Çitaku from Kosovo, and flutist Lydia Oshavkova from Bulgaria.
